Numbers in ordinary time

D Jr. is learning how to count. He is fascinated by the names of numbers and does not really understand the concept of counting. Nevertheless, he still "counts." As I sit here listening to him through the monitor as he tries to put himself to sleep this is what I hear:

“one, one, one, nine”

“one, two, six, five”

“three, three, three, four”

I’m not sure why but I find this very amusing on an otherwise ordinary day.
